We are getting used to the beach. I still prefer fresh water and pools to the salty sandy beaches but when you're with friends any place is pretty good. We had a few different friends this time, because some of those who were with us last time are on a different island, so it was fun to share the beach with our new friends. It was sunny and a bit cloudy once and it thought about raining on us but it didn't. Ben has taken to snorkeling (I don't have any pictures because I ran out of battery - but don't tell my husband because he'll just roll his eyes at me.) so he put the mask on and went snorkeling by the shore. He found lots of clam shells (I think that's what they are) as did the others. The shells are pretty neat looking because they have stripes and are different colors.
When we got home from the beach we got out the hose and rinsed ourselves off. The kids really enjoy playing with the hose and water. The cold water did feel great on my feet. I might have to buy a lawn sprinkler thing so that we can set it up and just let them run through it to help us all cool off. It is getting to the warmer part of the year so we are getting more and more uncomfortable, even just sitting around the house. (It's always evident on my kids faces that they are sweaty because of the drops of sweat that form on their noses and upper lip.)
