The stories the Nose knows....

My sweet little Kemiah.... While she sucks her thumb, she likes to hold a fuzzy. Usually it comes from the yarn ball she sleeps with but it can also come from the floor or even the bottom of the couch. Yes, she reaches under the couches and pulls on the lining to get a fuzzy to hold. I thought that was strange, and it is, but to top that she has gotten into the nasty habit of sticking things up her nose. I have had to pull out fuzzies (and I've had them sneezed onto my shirt too), little erasers that she gets from the mechanical pencils, even the little round piece of paper that comes out of the hole puncher. Tonight the scariest thing came out of her nose when she sneezed. I was in the kitchen finishing dinner dishes and she came to me rubbing her nose - a sign that she has stuck something up there and doesn't like it. I laid her over my lap and got a flashlight to see if I could see it. Sure enough, there was something orange in her nose. Luckily she sneezed and it came out - a tooth from a plastic comb. It's skinny and pointed and long and I'm so glad that it came out on it's own! Good grief. What am I supposed to do with this kid? I can happily report that she has stopped eating crayons for now and really enjoys coloring with them instead!

This was her first real piece of art. She actually brought it to me to show me what she had done. Then she stood there watching as Ben and I said nice things about her picture. It was really cute. And I have saved it with lots of other pictures that my adorable children have created. I wonder if we'll be able to get them all back to the states with us?
