Chess Fever

Last Sunday, my husband decided to make a chess board with our son. The boy was very excited and when it was completed they played a game just using pawns so that he would learn how to use them. The next day they played a game with other pieces. Monday night Kevin decided to make a 4 way board and pieces so the boy and girls could play together. It was a longer process than he thought it would be so they couldn't play until the next day. Ben, Emily and Xiomara played a game that might be called chess or might be something else. They probably need a little more supervision and instruction while they are learning to play but they had fun.

Here they are on Sunday, with the pencil drawn board and pieces.

Here they are Tuesday, with the computer made board, all taped together and the new pieces. Xiomara was excited that she got one of Ben's men.

Kevin made the comment Monday night that we could have used this for a homemade Christmas present. We do need to start thinking about those type of things.
