So, I sit in my dining room, trying to think of what to have for the main course of our dinner: potato chowder or rice casserole. Yes, those are not the normal things but I'm on an island and I don't really like turkey. Yes, they have them here, mainly for all the American students who do want to make the traditional meal. I wonder if any locals have ever bought a turkey from the store? Anyway, I have my roll dough rising and my fruit salad is in the fridge. The funniest part about the whole day is Ben, walking around the house talking to all his relatives on my side of the family. They have gathered at my parents house and he has talked to almost everyone. The phone is now beeping at him telling him the battery is getting ready to die. The other funny thing is that my family is watching a Pirates of the
Caribbean movie - maybe to make it seem like we aren't so far apart. I'm just glad that we are all well, and that we have the ability to communicate so easily, even though we are
separated by lots of land and water. So to all of you, I'm grateful for family, friends, faith, and a
bazillion other things. I guess I could make a list... but I've got soup to make! Enjoy!
