FYI

I wasn't sure how else to tell people so this is a good way - just come right out and say it. I thought I would let you know that on Sunday (1/18) Kevin was sustained and set apart as our Branch President. His first official duty, setting apart his Branch Clerk, I missed because Kemiah was ready for a nap but wouldn't go to sleep. This coming Sunday we have an Area Conference broadcast - our version of a stake conference (I think). It will be at our home because we don't have internet access or a satellite receiver at our rented building. Should be good - with priesthood on Saturday night. So I guess that makes me the "mother" of the branch, twice over because I'm the Relief Society President. Our opportunity to serve the people in our area will add to our island experiences that we will never forget.

Cool...see there was a reason why you needed to be there at this time. For us, we needed to be in Alaska for numerous reasons, I am sure one will come to light that stands out as "the" reason at some point, it always does. When I was in Scotland we decided it was me they needed as a Seminary teacher, YW President and Stake YW Camp Director all at the SAME time (No I was never really home LOL). Their programs were floundering and I think I injected perhaps what may have been needed for a tiny piece of change. Maybe. Have fun with it!
