Individual beds!

For the first time on the island, the kids are able to have their own beds! No, we didn't go out and buy new beds. We are having guests (a family moving to the island and staying with us until they find a place of their own) so the kids beds are now in the master bedroom (what we use as our playroom/school room). The kids are sleeping on their floor on the letter mats that used to be in the playroom. The kids thought it was so great to "make" their own beds out of 8 letter blocks. They even have their own blankets! They are so excited and happy. I wonder if they'll want the other beds back when our friends find a house of their own and won't need our beds anymore. We shall see. Here they are sleeping soundly in their new places.

Marissa is first, closest to the wall. Then comes Xiomara. Her blanket is actually a pillowcase and she loves it because it's like a sleeping bag.

Then Ben has the yellow sheet and Emily is by the other wall. Kemiah has the same crib but we moved her into a new position so everyone got moved around. It's another adventure.

Yes, they get two fans and we are running the A/C at night. We all sleep more comfortably and no one wakes up in the middle of the night so that's worth the extra money we spend in electricity!

what a party- I can just imagine what a treat I would think sleeping on the mats in the playroom would be if I were 4 or 5 years old again. I'm sure they'll NEVER forget this fun time.
