Well, this morning, while we were eating breakfast, we heard a lot of rustling in the leaves and the kids started talking about what if a cow had fallen down the hill. We laughed about it and wondered what the noise was, until Xiomara ran out the back door and said, "It was a cow!" The poor thing was in our yard, eating the greenery in our yard. I could see where it had slipped down the side of the cliff and it landed in the pile of grass clippings. I'm sure it may have been a little dazed and confused but maybe it meant to do that and thought it was the coolest cow around because it survived.
I ended up chasing it out of the yard and was a little scared at first because he wasn't moving. I tossed a small rock and he started to move and kept going right out the gates, which I had opened wide so it wouldn't be confused as to where I wanted it to go. Kevin said I should have just opened the people gate for more of a challenge. I figured I just wanted it out without anyone getting hurt. The cow crossed the street and ate the greenery in the forest. I hope it didn't end up sliding down that cliff to the river.
