Going for a walk.

Our friend, Curvin, brought over a dog for us to play with. The kids were all excited and the one thing they wanted to do was take the dog for a walk. We had to finish lunch but as soon as they were done they went outside. To my surprise, Xiomara even went without me. So I cleaned up a bit, changed a diaper and then we were off. As we headed down the road I noticed the rain clouds. I told the kids it might start raining on us and they said, "That's okay. Let's go anyway." Curvin was going to come get the dog but we decided we could walk it back to him. It was a nice walk and the clouds only spit on us while we walked. The kids had fun holding on to the leash and they took turns. We ended up in the grass field by our old house, which is also by Curvin's house, and we saw his car so we just played in the field until Curvin came out. He was surprised to see us there and the kids were excited when he showed up. Ben had fun making a pile of tires that were in the field. Xiomara got up the courage to pet the dog on its back while it was laying down and looking the other way. It ended up raining on us so Curvin took the dog back to his house and the kids sat in his car. Then when the rain stopped the kids wanted to visit our friends from Church who live on the other side of the field, so we went over. Unfortunately, it started to rain again so we were wet when we arrived at our friends house. We just stayed for a bit and then went back to Curvin who was waiting to give us a ride. It was a nice afternoon, even though we ended up getting wet and, come to think of it, I don't think I ever dried out.

Heading out down our road, towards the main road.

Saw a humming bird and thought I'd try to get a picture. The tin sheeting behind the bird is someones fence. That's what they use around here and it's sort of weird.

This last picture I decided to throw in because it sort of shows the curl in Kemiah's hair. They are really only there if her hair is damp but I sure love them.
