I think that is what my Mom calls this day of the week. I just couldn't let a Thursday go by without posting some pictures. We went to the beach again. I'm sure some in our little play group are tired of the same old thing but it's close, it's fun, and so we go. We were actually able to leave the house by 9:31 this morning and we made it to the beach a little after 10! One of our guy friends was there too so Ben went out snorkeling with him. He thought it was so great because Nick took him out farther and he saw "the drop off" and lots of fish and the black sea urchin. I did eventually go snorkeling and Marissa wanted to come but didn't want the mask and snorkel so she just went swimming with me (with her floaties on, of course). She wanted to get a closer look at the birds that were on the remains of the pier and I got a good look at "the drop off" too. So thanks again to all our friends who enjoy our play day because without you my kids would just be stuck with me and that's like any other day at home!
Can you see Ben and Nick way out there? They are to two black dots in the water in the middle of the picture.
I love this one of Emily and Xiomara. They had a good time playing together today.
The girls got into writing their names, and each others names, in the sand. I think it's really the first time they have actually done it for so long. I'm sure they've written their names in the sand before but not over and over again. I think a wave washed them away but maybe Xiomara erased them all.
This is when Ben was making a sand cave and Kemiah was ready to mash it. Ben is telling her no and she is laughing at him. Then she kneels up, points at something and says something so Ben turns around. I was ready for her to pounce when he wasn't looking but she didn't.
Marissa was having a good time making tracks in the sand. Right after this picture a wave came up and washed her tracks away.

It was a beautiful morning but right around noon it started to sprinkle and then rain on us. A couple people had umbrellas and others sought shelter in the cottages that are right behind us. I just stood under the palm tree with my girls who were still playing in the sand. I love the look on Kemiah's face in this one. She was just concentrating really hard on getting the sand on the fence railing. It was a funny show.
On our way to and from the beach we were noticing all the flowers that grow along the way. I try to keep the kids from picking them so I took pictures instead. I would post them all but I think there were about 22 (and that's not counting the doubles I took because I wanted to change the look of the picture) so I'll only put a couple of my favorite...
