Another ant story.

I'm sure you're tired of hearing about it, and I'm sort of tired of talking about it, but I have one more ant story. For a while, we have noticed small ants coming into our bedroom. They come in through the windows and I find them on my desk and all over the floor. I have sprayed the windows, inside and out, multiple times but they are still in my bedroom. Yesterday, I saw a track of them so I followed them. I had tried this once before, but couldn't figure out where they were going. This time I found them. They went from the window, down the wall, across the floor to my bed and crawled up the board at the foot of my bed. That's when I lifted the mattress and WOW! My mattress is supported by a few cross boards and on three of those boards there were piles of ants with their babies! It was a horrible sight. Luckily, they were tiny ants so even though there were tons of them, they were sort of hard to see. I sent the kids outside (we were getting ready to leave anyway) and grabbed the can of spray. I sprayed them on the floor, on the boards, on the mattress and in the windows. Then I turned on a fan to blow the poison out of the air while I was gone so that maybe we could sleep in the bed without dying. Now maybe we won't have those pesky ants all over my bedroom. Perhaps they'll figure out that they should find a new place to live.
