I'm not Super Woman.

Despite what a lot of you may think, or what you've heard, or what I may think of myself.... I'm not super woman. I have come to this reality this weekend as I have been run over by a train. Okay, it just feels like it. I have a cold, flu, chest pain, cough, and last night nausea was added to the mix so I couldn't eat dinner. I went to bed but couldn't sleep either. The funny thing is... I like trying to be super woman. I like taking care of my kids and doing it all. It was actually hard for me when we first hired Linda because she was doing things with the kids I felt I should be doing. But I can't do it all. Especially in my sickened condition. I went to bed at dinner and Kevin had the kids. I actually cried a bit as I laid in bed thinking that I should be out helping with our family. It was really hard for me and so I'm working on getting better so that I can do more. Of course, there are lots of things I need to work on so I'll never really be super woman but I do like to try. I've heard a story that goes to the Cat in the Hat rhyme that's all about the things the super woman does and at the end she drops dead. I certainly don't want that but I'd like to feel better. And I will... tomorrow!
