Dirty business.

(Written 1/26)

It is almost 11 o’clock at night and I was taking some trash out. To my surprise there was a cow in the yard looking at me. I had heard it chewing on the grass but thought it was outside the fence. I took the trash out, opened the gate and decided to pull on the rope that is tied around its horns. I pulled a couple times and it started to move but then it jerked its head and I dropped the rope. Oh bother. Kevin enjoyed watching from inside the house, and asked if I wanted pictures. It would have been great but it was dark so the pictures wouldn’t have turned out. He finally said I just needed to come up behind it and it would just walk out. I didn’t want it to kick me so I stayed back but had to “chase” it out of the yard. Silly cow. I guess the kids and I will be working on closing up the gap in the fence by the hill so the cow won’t be able to get in the yard. It is worse than having chickens because it goes poop where ever it wants and you really don’t want to step in that. I guess we should have brought the kids poopie shoes from Alaska. I just didn’t think we would need them.

Jaquelle, so glad you found me. I have been wondering the same about you guys, if you made it down there just in time for a hurricane. Did you miss it? Hit it?

I searched for you on facebook too, but couldn't find you. I always wondered if you had a blog. I am so glad you do. You can keep up with us on my blog too. I don't post as often as you do, but hey, we are thousands of miles apart. It's the best I can do.

So, wow, it sounds like life it crazy/fun/busy/adventurous!!!!! I read almost your whole blog.

Kiara sure misses Marissa. Funny thing that you found me today because Kiara got bangs today and she said, "Now I look like Marrisa!" She talks about her still. I will have to show her your blog with the photos, I am sure it will make her day. It made mine! Your kids have sure changed. Where did the blonde baby come from? I can't believe how much hair Emily and Xiamara have now.

Keep in touch! Glad to hear Kevin is doing well with school. Hang in there....prez and prez!
