I was walking home from Tina’s store the other night and
Curvin stopped by me in his car. He said he would bring me eggs (yeah!) and then the girl that was in the car with him asked me what part of Alaska I was from. I told her and she said, “Yes, I have a friend in Eagle River.” What? The girl in the car lives in Anchorage but is here visiting family – I think. I just
couldn’t believe that there is a Dominican living in Eagle River, the place I just left to come to Dominica. Maybe I passed her in
Wal-Mart. I guess it’s not really that big of a deal but I thought I’d share. It’s not like her name is
Jacquelle… but then, I
didn’t ask.

Isn't that always the way? I've met way too many Canadians up here! How'd I miss so many of your posts?
