I had just put the kids to bed and decided to call my sister to see how she was doing. She has 5 kids too and is in the middle of a move and it's all a little crazy. So I was chatting and walking around my house emptying trash cans when I saw something move out the corner of my eye. I was standing in a dark bathroom and turned and jumped and screeched a bit and was surprised to see
Marissa standing behind me. I was a bit sharp with her and told her to go back to bed. She said, "I can't fall asleep and everyone else was passed out." I sent her to bed without any help or loves or anything because I was on the phone and it was time for her to be in bed. She sort of slumped her shoulders and went to bed. I talked with my sister and everything is okay. When I was done I went right to Marissa. She was asleep, with her little-one folded up over her eyes. I pulled it off and rubbed her face. I bent down and gave her kisses on her cheek. I felt so bad that I had been sharp so I whispered in her ear, "I'm so, so sorry sweet love." She moved a little so I started to stand up and that's when I heard her say in a sleepy voice, "I forgive you." I smiled and bent down again and said, "Thank you." Sleepily she said, "You're welcome." I guess I caught her halfway between sleep and awake. I'm glad I did though. She may not remember it in the morning but I will remember it forever!
