Sunset and a surprise.

As Kevin left after dinner I noticed the beautiful blue sky so I ran back into the house and grabbed my camera. It was really pretty and I love the color of the sky here. (Although it's probably pretty close to the color you have in your sky, too.)

Then the clouds turned a yellow color because of the setting sun. It was amazing to watch the transformation and I was really wishing I had stairs to my roof so I could have a better view.

Then they started to get the pink color and so I climbed up on my porch railing to try to get a better picture.

Then I looked inside and found this... Kemiah covered in flour and standing in a dusting of flour on the floor. This is what happens when you get caught up in other things and your older kids are writing in their journals so the baby is left unattended.

I then went back to the sunset for one last look. I love how it just keeps changing but every stage is beautiful. Sort of like life...

I hope you are able to enjoy each phase for what it has to offer. Don't anticipate what will be next. Just enjoy the here and now because that's what you have right now. Don't wish for something different or something more. You can work for it but make sure you're not overlooking what you already have. And check on your kids every once in a while - but make sure to smile!

I needed this today. Thanks. PS: My not checking on the little one is usually comprised of markers on walls or the entire contents of my kitchen brought into my living room...LOL.
