Kid talk

(Conversation between the girls while they were drawing pictures. Xiomara had drawn a picture of my dad, their Gaffa.)
E- When we were at Gaffa's house did he have long hair?
X- No.
M- He might now, you don't know.
E- Yes, it's always short.


B- I get so confused.
M- Tell your brain to not do that.


M- I hate putting my hair thing in.
Me- I can cut your hair off.
X- Then you'll look like a boy.


X- Ben gave me a sucker because I was a whiny baby.


Me- (just got Xiomara up from a nap) Do you have to go potty?
X- I don't think so.
Me- Do you want a drink of water?
X- I don't think so.


(We were headed to the Annex to fly kites. This is the university building where we get our drinking water from the water fountains. As we got near the front gate we saw a cow walk through the gate.)
X- Where did the cow go?
Me- I don't know.
X- Maybe it's getting a drink of water.


K- (She is really starting to talk, sort of, so here are some of her words.) cow, moo, dog, no, stop, stuck, and the ever present scream of irritation when some one does something she doesn't like.
