Well it happened today... my boy lost his first tooth! He noticed it was loose on Sunday and it grossed me out. I don't know how I did it as a kid because I get chills just thinking about it. So he worked with it and talked about it, and we were sure it would fall out soon. Well, I had
Xiomara on my back after her nap and he decided to growl and try to eat her foot. She moved to keep away from him and ended up kicking his mouth. I heard a little tinkling sound and saw the tiny tooth on the floor. I said something at the same time and picked up the tooth quickly. Then I looked at Ben and his mouth was filling with blood. That part doesn't gross me out, just the loose part. I got a paper towel and he was taken care of. He was so excited and started talking about putting the tooth under his pillow and getting a dollar from the Tooth Fairy. The funny thing is that he knows it's me - I have a hard time "making" my kids believe in things that aren't real. So here are some pictures before and after.

Then after dinner tonight we had another gathering at our house to celebrate pi day (the
mathematical sign that is equal to 3.14 - we celebrated a day early because we are having a Church social tomorrow afternoon) so Ben forgot all about putting his tooth under his pillow. I guess he'll do it tomorrow night. I guess we can all live with that.

YAY! Joshua just lost the same tooth but on the other side. He kept tellin gme it was loose and I kept trying to wiggle it but it wouldn't budge so I figured he was just anxious to lose one. Low and behold it has taken only days for that new tooth to come in, it came in FAST! Apparently now the other one is loose.
