So, this is the first one I have ever "celebrated" outside the States. I mentioned the holiday to the kids a few days ago and their question was, "What are we going to do?" Well, not much since the Dominican's don't celebrate it. There won't be any fireworks. There won't be any bar-b-ques. There won't be much of anything. Not only because we are in a different country but also because the medical students all have their second test of the semester on Monday so everyone is tucked away studying like crazy. Especially our Dad because he will come home for dinner and stay home. We'll have Family Home Evening after dinner and then put the kids to bed. We'll get ready for Church tomorrow and there will be no more studying for Daddy. Anyway, we are thinking of our home land and we are so grateful to all the people who help keep our country free, even if some of our own people are not supportive. I'm so grateful for all the freedoms and the blessings of America.
