I was on the ball today.

We woke up mostly on time, read our scriptures, talked about it and then got ready for the kids. Worksheets were already out so I didn't have to worry about that... start on breakfast. The kids got up and went to their worksheets - won't talk about that because even though they only had one sheet it took them way too long. Started a load of laundry, hung the towels I had washed the night before, and made breakfast. Ate breakfast with minimal complaining, and that is always nice - oh, but it was only Kemiah, Xiomara and me because the older three were still working on their one worksheet. Clean up from breakfast, get the dishes done rather than just leaving them in the sink, and hang the whites after starting the darks. The older kids ate their breakfast and then it was time for school. It was a short lesson so we were able to do it easily before Joy School. Xiomara and Kemiah tried to sit in class but they just distracted way too much so I put them out. After school, the older kids finished their worksheet and I got ready for Joy School. (Maybe this is more boring than exciting for you.) We started the unit on the body in Joy School so that was fun, and we even made bread in class so I got that done as well. (Sneaky but it works.) Finished hanging the darks after Joy School and then it was time for lunch. Leftovers make it so easy. Spent the afternoon getting dinner ready and putting away all the laundry! Dinner was ready at 5 and we all enjoyed it so much there were no leftovers and the kids were still hungry so they ate a lot of bananas and plantains too. Way to go, ME! It was a good day and I will not freak out when it doesn't go the same way next Friday. But at least I know I can do it so it can be done! Hooray!

As a side note, we let Linda go so she normally would have done the laundry and the bread and the breakfast dishes.
