It's been a year since we left.

Okay, so we actually left Alaska a few days ago last year but close enough. I can hardly believe it. Today is Canada Day (Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends who might read this.) and on this day last year we were actually camping in a huge RV park with our tent in a grassy area in Canada. Because it was such a big RV park, they had fireworks and it was pretty neat. We even let the kids stay up in their flannel jammies to watch the fireworks. It was the first time that Marissa actually enjoyed them. Usually she would cover her ears, hide her face or even want to go back to the car. I was so happy that she did so well and was able to enjoy them with the other kids. I still cant' believe it's been a year.

Sorry but I just had that in my mind and thought I'd share the memory. I thought about attaching a picture from the trip but I don't have any. I am so sad. I usually took a picture of our tent and where we were and there is nothing! Oh bother. Now I'm sad and nostalgic and I'm not sure that's a very good combination. Oh well. What can you do? I can't do anything so I'll choose to be cheerful.
