Ben is lovin' archery!

One of our neighbors, a man whose girlfriend is the student, has become Ben's favorite person. The guy lives up the road and right next to the river, on higher ground. When we hiked up the river we came across his pool that he had damned up in the river and the kids really liked it, and him. Ever since then, Ben has gone over a few times to fish in the river with this guy. The other day, Ben went over on a planned "play date" to make bows and arrows. This guy has a lot of time on his hands and he is pretty creative and handy. I took the girls shopping and when I came back I saw Ben and his friend go into the woods near the river. I dropped off the girls and headed up to see what they were doing. I found Ben so happy and collecting more sticks for arrows. He showed me the bow, made out of bamboo, and his arrow. He shot it and it actually flew. He ran to get it, a huge smile on his face the whole time. We have had to make two more arrows and so I have had to fit the bill. It's all good and he loves his bow.
