First haircut

So, usually this event would happen on a child's first birthday. But seeing as how Kemiah didn't have much hair when she turned one I decided to forgo the tradition. I think I did the same thing to Xiomara, and probably Emily who was really slow at growing hair on her head. Anyway, about a week ago Xiomara cut a lock of Kemiah's hair in the back, where it is the longest so she was left with long sections on either side but not in the middle. It wasn't really noticeable, if you can believe that so I waited a couple days before I decided to cut it all level. And I went ahead and gave her some bangs while I was cutting. The hardest part was that she wouldn't hold her head still so I'm not really sure it's very straight but since she never really holds still for very long no one will ever notice. If I had realized at the time that her two year birthday was in just a month I probably would have waited but does it really matter? No, just makes remember it easier. So here's my youngest with her new style.

Oh, these last few don't really show her hair but I thought they were super cute. They are so sweet when they play nicely to each other. There are those time though, when you hear Xiomara say to Kemiah, "We never hit, or kit, or push," because Kemaih is a pusher, and some times a hitter. She'll grow out of it, I'm sure.
