On our walk home.

After we stopped by Kevin's study spot the other day, we walked up to the main gate of campus. I wanted to get a picture of a new sign they put up, "Iguana Crossing," with an iguana crossing the road. It happened on Sunday but I didn't have a camera. My hopes were dashed when we got to the main gate and there was no sign. The guard said they would put it up again, but really, what are the chances of me getting the perfect picture like I could have had on Sunday? We'll see. I just may have to carry my camera with me all the time.

The trip to the main gate wasn't wasted though. There is a guava forest so the kids were happy. We also found these things the locals call grapes but they are NOT grapes. My kids eat them, but they are bitter and weird. Kemiah tried a couple bites but each time she would make a face and spit it out. I didn't get any good pictures of her funny faces.

We did see an iguana in the grass near the main gate. It was a big one and we were able to get really close. I'm not sure why it let us get so close but it was pretty cool. A student passed by while I was trying to get a picture of all the kids and asked if he could take one with me in it too. He didn't see the iguana at first so it made him jump. The lady in the blue outfit behind the kids stood there in amazement at how close we were. It's not common at all.

We went to James' store after and found these growing in front of some one's house. They were really pretty, so I thought I'd share.

Cool pictures. I love the one of Marissa--you can tell how excited she is about those "grapes." Also, that iguana is bigger than Kemiah!
