New dinner idea!

I am so tired of making what I always make for dinner. I'm out of luck when I say, "I'm making pizza!" and the kids say, "Not pizza again!" What kid doesn't like homemade pizza? I'll tell you... the ones who eat it almost every week. So, tonight I decided to make homemade granola. I didn't have all the ingredients but I figured I had enough (no wheat germ or pecans or walnuts). I adjusted it a bit and hoped it would bake enough in time for dinner. I even had Kevin pick up some fruit to go with it, just in case we needed something else. Well, it turned out great! Everyone loved it just the way it was and Kevin said he was glad we didn't have the items that I had to leave out. So it went over really well. The kids even said, "Can we have this for breakfast?" I love it when it turns out that way! I loved it too! Yummy!

yes, i was there for the "not pizza!" comment from your kiddos! i wouldn't have believed it if i didn't hear it myself! :) but homemade granola sounds REALLY good... maybe they knew you were holding out on them by making pizza, not granola!
