Happy Birthday to Kemiah!

She is 1! Wow, I can't believe it. The other kids all said, "Now she can start talking." I thought it was funny. We enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast - she didn't like them. Lunch wasn't a big deal but after lunch she got to play with balloons. All the kids love them so they each got one to celebrate! We have already lost three of them - Kemiah likes to chew on them. We had pizza for dinner because Kemiah really likes the crust - and so does everyone else. Then it was time for cake. I only have a mini muffin pan and two round cake pans. I usually make a few cupcakes and one round so that the baby can have a cupcake and eat with their hands and have fun making a mess. So I made some mini muffins and thinner rounds. The kids sang (we sang several times through out the day) and we presented her with the little cup cake. She didn't know what to do with it. Then she touched it, after much proding. Then she pulled away when she got chocolate frosting on her hand. It was funny to watch. Eventually she did get it to her mouth and took a bite but I don't think she liked it very much. Oh well. We enjoyed celebrating her birth into our family. She is wonderful, happy, loving and usually smiling! We love Kemiah!
