Sundays are great.

So we walked to Church again. That is what we do here. Luckily it's not too far. On a fast day it's about a 15 minute walk. On a slow day it stretches to 25 minutes. Fortunately we have never had rain on the way to Church. We always have 3 umbrellas with us just in case and it has rained on us a couple times on the way home.

We meet in a branch made up mostly of Ross University students. There is one local family with 5 kids and a few other single locals. We have a set of Elders and a senior couple so the word is being taught.

Before we got here the branch president was a senior missionary but in July they called a first semester student. He's now a second semester and will leave for the Bahama campus in December so that means they'll have to call a new branch president. I guess it's kind of like the tide - students come and students go. It changes each semester. Does that make it easier or harder?

I am trying to be the Relief Society President and Kevin is the Young Man's President - yes, he only has one boy, the oldest child of the local family. It has been an interesting 2 months.

The Church rents a building in Portsmouth. We actually rent the first and second floor of a green building. And we only meet for 2 1/2 hours - which is new (since May of this year) because they used to meet on campus for only sacrament meeting. So here's a family picture in front of the building where we have Church.
