Other critters are fun too.

The kids get really excited when they find lizards or geckos in the house. They are usually on the small side so the kids aren't afraid of catching them. The bigger lizards stay outside, are much faster and, although we know they probably won't hurt us, we have a harder time catching them. We have had fun with several little geckos. At least that's what I think they are. The one they had yesterday lost the end of it's tail when Marissa tried to recapture it but it will grow back. We were all proud of Xiomara when she held this little one. Kemiah was even interested but she probably would have squeezed it too much or tried to eat it. Maybe she wouldn't have touched it at all but we opted to keep it away from her.

And if that wasn't enough excitement for one day, while we were getting ready for family prayer last night, we found this little guy on the floor. It was very easy to catch and didn't hop much so I'm not sure it was doing very well. At one point the kids had it on its back in Marissa's hand and it didn't do anything. They were all excited about having a frog in the house. We don't really see very many of them. I put some water on the porch and then had Marissa put it in the water so that maybe it could revive itself. It's not there now so maybe it worked.
