Happy Thanksgiving!

It was mostly like any other day really. Kevin went to study, the kids got up at their earlier time, and I made a tuna casserole for dinner for the first time since being here. Luckily I think we are all tired of our usual stuff that it was a nice change and everyone ate it, even though it had tuna fish in it. We aren't big meat eaters in the first place but not having any meat three weeks in a row is really getting old. I guess we will have to order some meat from the company in Roseau that delivers to the campus so that we can have meat more often - at least once a week would be nice. It's just not the same to have sweat and sour chicken without the chicken.

I did talk to the kids a little bit about it being Thanksgiving but failed to mention the fabulous meals that people in America were enjoying with loved ones. I missed the marshmallow fruit salad that I usually have. I had everyone say one thing they are thankful for at dinner but that was the extent of it. Before dinner, we took the kites out to the field but the kids ended up playing in the tall grass instead. I couldn't even see them when they laid down. I'm sure they'll have a gagillion bites tomorrow because I didn't spray them before we went out! They sure had fun though.

So, I hope you enjoyed the holiday and now we move on to Christmas - which they celebrate down here! I even have a tree under my bed that we got from a friend who isn't staying for the holidays so I guess I could put that up now. We might make some orniments and start singing carols to our Lord!
